I’m performing some major surgery on my website(s) and want a way to cut down on my cross-posting monotony.

A lovely piece of LACKLUSTER WORLD art that Jo gave me for Xmas:

I photoshopped a new design for this site too as this current design causes me to shudder in horror at its, uh, horror. New design still needs coding though, but that will be on the backburner for another week. I’m waist deep in a big client project for now.

I’m about 80% complete with the updates I want to make to this site. The two largest components are finished – 1) adjusting to a three-column layout and 2) creating some non-blog related pages (comics, design, links, contact). The majority of remaining work is plugging in and cleaning up the actual content in the new pages and some small, aesthetic changes. Aesthetics can wait though.

This site is staying this way for about a week because I’m also working on a major update to LacklusterWorld.com, and at the moment, it’s a higher priority. That update is maybe 40% complete – or: not even close. Hopefully, I can focus on it tomorrow evening.

No matter how pretty it may be or how experienced I may be at it, I regret ever having done that site in flash.

My name is Eric Adams. I write and illustrate the comic series Lackluster World. It is a seven issue mini-series of which the first three have been released (working on #4 now). I self-publish under my Gen: Eric Publishing imprint and they are available for purchase online. I do a few other comic related things, but nothing of significance. I do commissions too.

Comics don’t pay all the bills. For food and shelter I am one of three partners and a creative director at Turnstyle Creative located in Hamilton, Ohio. Together we do everything from web design to graphic design to database programming to advertising to video/audio production to marketing to PR and just about anything you can imagine hiring a team of creatives/marketers to do. We’re affordable and for hire.

Overall, I think of myself as being strong both artisticly and business-wise. You can correct me on that if you like.

This is not my only experience with blogging. I also keep a LiveJournal. I use it primarily for keeping in touch with friends and I will continue to treat it as such.

I also have a Flickr account where I put my photos.

And a MySpace account that I never ever use because it is horrible. Still, it’s there.

If you want to do the “friend” thing with any of those, I will almost certainly relent.

I want to flesh out this site with content kind of quickly, so I might repost some older news along with new stuff. We’ll see what happens.
