Four years ago I discovered the band Antarctica and thier album 81:03. I distinctly remember first hearing the song Absence it on the Live365 station, the London Undergound (now defunct).

I bought the CD and it has remained one of my favorite albums ever since. It has never left my “inspiration” playlist. Anyway, I desperately sought out more of their music but only found one EP they released before 81:03 and 81:03 was released in 2001. What happened to them?

Well, I just found out. They broke up and reformed into Ova Looven. Their album 58:34 (released 2 years ago!) is a little more synthy, but it still feels like Antarctica to me - maybe better.
