Saturday Strategem

This post is a warm-up for what I hope will be a long grueling slog of writing on an overdue project that I cannot really speak about yet. That’s not meant to be a tease; more like a statement of purpose.

Today is the lovely Joanna Estep’s birthday. She’s that girl responsible for the pretty art in that Roadsong book. She’s also that girl with whom I live with and happen to love. And despite this being the day marking the anniversary of her birth, we’re saving the fun for tomorrow. Something about Jungle Jim’s, a trip to the comic store, Thai food, and maybe a little something I like to call hot lunch.

This would occur simultaneously.

Alas, not today. The writing project I’m into has endured my gentle poking for weeks, but needs to be finished NOW. Screw my inner-perfectionist.

Perhaps more later. I’m tied to this keyboard all day anyway.

If you are bored, go listen to my good friend Paul’s new tracks over on that shitty, shitty MySpace website.
